2009

If I'm to sum up 2009 in one word, I'd go for

"Purpose"

see, this year proved to me that my life is going somewhere and that somewhere is where I ought to be. This strong sense of "Purpose" drives me to become the person I was always meant to be, ME. Not the drama queen, not the emo princess and most definitely not the douchefag (thanks for the term Gerard) most hate back in High School.

2009 showered a lot of achievements for me and little as they all may seem, each achievement bears proof that I indeed have a one way ticket towards self actualization (Maslow. ehem. [laughs]) and my dreams.

And if I was to pick out the best and the most treasured amongst my achievements this year, I'd definitely go for the huge attitude change with regards to my chosen career path. As all of you know, I started going on hospital duties last July and it is one of the more definite reasons why I deem the past year very special. The hospital duties I have attended made me more mature and as i have said, made me develop this strong sense of duty and "Purpose". I now have a big responsibility laid out before me and I couldn't be any happier for I have proven to myself that I really love and want the path I chose.

All in all, it was a very good year for me. Despite the many shortcomings, 2009 (for me) is definitely a year to remember.

I was suppose to do a big year-ender post but I decided to just stick with something simple.
(TAMAD. ehem. [laughs])

THANK YOU to my family, friends (Lourdes, SDO and GCIC), my haters and my dear readers!
WITHOUT ALL OF YOU, MY EXISTENCE WOULD LOSE MEANING AND WORTH!

Thank you also to Lady Gaga: people seem off whenever I say this but you really are a big part of my life. to me, you're an icon, a sister, a friend and a mother. I am proud to be a MONSTER ♥

AND YES! if Lady GaGa made 2009 her year then 2010, dear friends, is GONNA BE MINE!

I may have gained a lot of weight!

I may have a boyfriendless status!

I may have failing grades in NCM, Pathophysiology and NRES!

I may have stressed a lot!

I may have kicked my paranoia up a notch!

but with the confidence gained back in 2008, and the Purpose realized in 2009; 2010 shines like a disco ball and I am more than ready to show my teeth! YEAH!

Gagi†a, my friends, is not LADY GAGA (GOD FORBID SHE DIES). Rather, she was my companion during the times I felt bad and only through her can I listen to the blessed songs of my heroine (GaGa). She's roughly around 4 years of age but sadly, I only got to experience her for a very short time. Long story.

Anyhows...I hope you find the light that would lead you to where treasured items go.

FINALLY! my friends and I get to have our much awaited CHRISTMAS BREAK!

SERIOUSLY! I don't know about you guys but my class and I really need the vacation BAD! I, personally, don't care if its just 2 weeks or less. 2 weeks is 2 weeks! As I have often said, Rest and Sleep is a coveted luxury for student nurses. ESPECIALLY DURING 3rd Year, Second Semester. Dear lord, I may be naturally exaggerated and shizz but the past 5 weeks (or so) has really left me in such a fragile state that only Lady GaGa can alleviate this gradual onset of general malaise.

I AM STILL IN GaGa Bliss right now.

THIS IS, BY FAR, THE BEST VIDEO I HAVE EVER SEEN IN MY WHOLE ENTIRE LIFE.

1. Lady GaGa Fan Shirt

- I really don't like FAN SHIRTS. SUPER. The most disgusting fan shirt I saw was this PINK SANDARA PARK shit..err...shirt when I passed by this local marketplace. I wanted to burn it.

BUT!

with this shirt, I, CAN MAKE AN EXCEPTION.
I, my friends, am NO FASHION person. Honestly. Mainstream Fashion is like Architecture and Political Science to me. Unfamiliar and Distant. Beguiling, but unapproachable. But I do know the difference (with regards to being Socially feasible) between a SANDARA SHIRT (and all the shirts that fall under its category) and this retail masterpiece ☺ believe me, there's a BIG DIFFERENCE.

• HOW? and WHERE can I get this in le' Third World?

- THIS IS SIMPLY BRILLIANT. Who cares if my face juggles in round adiposal flubbiness, wearing this would definitely boost the withering confidence inside! (laughs) Nicole said she saw a pair of these at Robinson's. Hmmm...

This is, by far, the BEST Lady GaGa photo I have ever downloaded. (laughs)

It's very dramatic and beautiful. "Techno/Disco chic", as I term it. This photo actually gave me the urge to download 20+ Lady GaGa songs via Aimini and I am now in vestibulocochlear GaGa bliss :)

Anyhoos,

here's a quick run down of what happened yesterday:

Yesterday was perfectly spent with friends and our one and only Madurr (Ma'am Alfa). Grace, Nicole and I were the first ones to arrive (11 am-ish) to help Madurr pack and segregate the things inside our beloved office. Nicole brought Krispy Kremes which seemed very timely (Mother loved it very much) and I...well...I brought myself (laughs). Justine arrived shortly after we did but she had to settle her enrollment dues immediately before she was able to join us. When post lunch period came I, then, got my assessment form encoded and proceeded with my very informal enrichment classes which lasted for an hour and a half (big THANKS to Lira Beralo, Chi Cortes, Trixia Hife, Hill Soriano and Genevieve Oniot for attending my "class". I'll find a way to give you guys your just rewards for being there yesterday! don't worry! THANK YOU very much ♥). After which, the others started arriving and SDO was once again crowded and filled with laughter. It felt really light and happy as everybody chatted the afternoon away. Catching up on sembreak stories and SDO memories, Zack's funny toddler words and pronunciations and Mother Alfa's teary moments; it was a very memorable afternoon. And though most of us still question the untimely circumstances, we all agreed that it has happened and there is nothing we can do. Everybody left at around 5 pm with very heavy hearts and I, had the privilege(?) of closing the door since I was the last one who stepped out of the room. It felt weird actually. The moment felt very reminiscent of this one scene from the last episode of The Nanny:

so much for goodbyes. the SDO Office had served us very well. At some point in my life, it had become this focal point and melting pot of the most interesting and brilliant people I have come to know and love. My SDO Family. Though we have disdainfully (exaggerated much) left our sweet sanctuary behind, the memories we shared within those hallowed (canary yellow) walls will forever be etched in the most kept recesses of our forlorn hearts (Dubhie: MMK![laughs])

so after the whole SDO shizz, I then accompanied ChiChify on our first escapade (that included cupcakes, a letter in orange ink, an orange lightning bolt, unusual parking in front of Serendra, Nicole's "angas" face with the matching lip movement "TUMAMA", a hole and an hour and a half inside a CRV that smelled like burger [which eventually wore off]). She was the driver, I was the nagger (laughs) We originally decided to just catch up with the SDO people (whom, after leaving GCIC, decided to spend the rest of the afternoon at High Street) after our short "errand"... but sadly, due to our expertise in road awareness, Chichifly and I found ourselves in the middle of Makati's overwhelming traffic as "RUSH HOUR" slowly phased through! kaya yun, we decided to go straight home na lang and not proceed to High Street anymore(laughs) well, before that, Nicole and I had already bumped along the funniest misfortunes ever (like I now have a bruise on my leg, don't ask [laughs]). Being stuck in Makati Traffic was just icing on the cake ☺Nevertheless, IT WAS SUPER FUN. Thank Chichifly for driving me home! you're the VEST!
